Definitely a disturbing one! Managed to piece together the plot while playing the tablet game haha. Made a video on it.

(+2)

wow, this game left me blank, void of any emotions, such a heartbreaking game but a very real one.

(+1)

I was incredibly shocked of the twist, was not expecting that. Setting aside the theme, it truly reminded me a game that I loved: Presentable Liberty. Your game captured that sense of dread or loneliness that has the same vibe of PL. 10/10 game, would love another game like this.

Incredible game. Makes you feel genuine fear and disgust after playing. Not because of the game quality, but because of how well executed the messed up story is. 10000/10.

I just can’t believe how disturbing this game and sad is. I am traumatized now a little bit. I made a video on it.

(+1)(-1)

First and foremost I want give the biggest thanks to you for respecting the responses of those wishing for a better warning for those like myself who have been misfortunate in experiencing this and the likes of.

Outside of its context, this game is amazingly executed. It keeps you wondering more and more as the nightmares and days go on.

Tho the endings could use a little tweaking. Like flashing lights to show the dad being taken away if that was the case in one ending.

Again, thank you for the warning change!

plz make this game for mobile too please

(+1)

I was hoping overall the game wouldn't go where it did, or would have a bit more to it thematically. I think the most interesting element was the "what if" of an apocalypse or infection. The dream sequences were especially nice and I think the overall gameplay loop/monotony were well executed.

Spoilers:

I feel the "good" ending could have been stronger with a bit more story, or a sequence that visually 'made sense' for the other ending (i.e. they "didn't find anything"; maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything to imply a decent search would come up empty... a hatch in a floor in a corridor with a single light above is pretty telling something's amiss, no?).

(1 edit) (+1)(-1)

the story was pretty predictable early on in the game, but the apocalyptic/monster part of the story kept me on edge and second guessing a little. overall an ok game i like the graphics but could use a better more complex story

Where is the executable file? There isnt one in the zip I downloaded and I am having trouble installing

(+1)

i am greatly horrified about this game. i would donate but i have no money so making an itch account and commenting would hopefully satisfy you. Thankyou for this experience, or i guess no thankyou(?) this is a not great, great experience. looking forward for more games from you. and yeah i came from Markiplier on youtube. hope your game gets the recognition it deserves

BEFORE more people get their tits in a twist about people in the comments asking for an *actual proper warning*, here is what it was BEFORE the dev changed it:
DISCLAIMER: This experience contains elements that involve sensitive and disturbing subject matter. It may be unsettling to some players. Individuals who find disturbing content distressing are advised to refrain from playing. Do not take this lightly.

And this is the new one:
DISCLAIMER: This content includes sensitive and distressing subject matter, including highly triggering elements such as SA. It may be deeply unsettling to some players. Individuals who find disturbing content distressing or have experienced trauma related to these triggers are advised to refrain from playing. Do not take this lightly.

So there ya go. People aren't dumb and can't read, the warning was just bad before. Abuse survivors can enjoy horror, blah blah blah you get the drill. Trigger warnings are important. Have a nice day!

I have yet to find all the endings, but I played through it once and as a developer myself I'd have to say this is definitely different than a lot of the games I've played on this website. Great work! I loved the story.

(+1)

thank you!

What's the font you used for the objectives of the day?

(-3)

What a banger, nouhidev. I'm not a rich guy and can't donate to your Itch, but I can give some advice. Be wary of Steam's >3 hour refund exploit because it's heinous for creators. If you make a few more games, try bundling them up in the same .exe so people can't play and return after beating it. People are cheap.

Also plugging my video.

This is one of the most deep games I've ever played. I didn't get it until I completed both endings, I did the pill ending first. The name of the game truly does describe exactly what the game is. I hope to see more work from you Nouhidev.

(+1)

thanks for playing!

I’m not sure if this is just because I’m running the Windows version of the game in Linux under Wine, but I find some of the hitboxes(?) for being able to interact with items in the game are a bit odd to actually hit, I often have to approach items from odd angles or try multiple times (chiefly with the pills and plants, I’m finding). [EDIT: if anyone else is having the same issue, I’ve found sometimes moving my mouse constantly just a little bit while I’m facing an interactable fixes it. If the dev would like footage of me experiencing this issue I’d be happy to provide it] Other than that I have no complaints, the game’s very well done, and I’m glad Markiplier decided to feature this original version of it instead of the Roblox version (even though I know the Roblox version is now gone).

Also, I totally agree people should be reading the description for the content warning, but some of the people responding to people complaining about no in-game trigger warning are being a bit too mean and callous imo, making fun of people and whatnot.

My reaction before and after playing this game fucked me up and I send a thank you to the creator of this game for helping me cry and release childhood trauma I had stored up

(-6)

thanks for the cw on the game's page. would be nice to have it in the game itself too, as im sure there are people with short attention span who cant pay much attention to the itch.io description, going right into the game instead (thats me im using itch client so im used to downloading the game and booting it up immediately 💀)

(+7)(-5)

what. people who have an attention span that short shouldn't be on the internet. if it's too much for you to read a description, it's natural selection if you get triggered. lesson learnt, don't boot up games immediately without checking the info.

add more endings please i loved this i wise we knew more about the girl and what happened after

There's a google doc attached to the itch.io page.
It adds a bit more context to the "No pill" ending.

"You make your way outside, seeing the sun for the first time without knowing what it actually is. Afterwards, escaping the perimeter and seeking help."

I wish we had more story too, though the way this was wrapped up is nice.

(+1)

I have a feature request. I want to be able to change the controls. I do not use a typical qwerty keyboard, and in order to play it, I had to change what the input keyboard was and try to press the right buttons, which made it difficult to play.

I will be sure to add that in the next update!

(1 edit)

Played it, about made me cry

Angry Upvote or something.

(2 edits) (+4)(-12)

please put an actual warning on this. a specific warning. i went into this having no clue what the game was about and almost had a genuine panic attack. the subject matter actually made me feel sick and i had to quit before i properly finished the game. normalize actual trigger warnings and specify what the triggering content is, please.(edit: apparently this is similar to a real case, ik the dev said it's not based on it. doesn't make it less weird how similar the game and the case are. also, i do know the description has since been changed. it was different before and did not mention the sa aspect when i downloaded the game. so yes, i can read. i didn't ignore the description. it was not updated when i made this comment. what i said still stands for other situations even now that the description is updated.)

(+16)(-6)

if there's a warning talking about not for sensitive audiences, you should've clicked off. Or just read the description "DISCLAIMER:

This experience contains elements that involve sensitive and disturbing subject matter. It may be unsettling to some players. Individuals who find disturbing content distressing are advised to refrain from playing. Do not take this lightly."

respectfully....

(+4)(-4)

Abuse survivors can enjoy horror too lmao. The warning was too vague, people have specific triggers. This one is the fault of the dev.

(+3)(-4)

thats not a clear warning. you don't realize the fact that people that are sensitive to content about sa/csa can enjoy other kinds of horror content/can enjoy content about those subjects if given a proper warning and know what to expect. the simple "this has disturbing content" warning is not enough for that particular subject.

(+4)(-5)

Its not based off of a real case and you WERE warned.

(+2)(-3)

the warning says nothing about what the actual subject matter is, so no. there are a lot of other comments about the case it's apparently based on, it's a quick google search if you don't know what it is. doesn't seem like much of a coincidence since it's so similar.

(-1)

it’s inspired by the Josef Fritzl case. Not based off of.

(+3)(-8)

wah wah I can't read T__T
^ that's you. next time, read the descriptions, and don't start games without reading what they're about :) 0 sympathy for people like you.

(1 edit) (+4)(-2)

i can read, thanks. i wouldn't have been upset by the game at all if there were a REAL warning. when i downloaded the game, the description said nothing about what the content in the game was. this is the old "disclaimer" that was in the description when i read it before downloading the game.

DISCLAIMER: This experience contains elements that involve sensitive and disturbing subject matter. It may be unsettling to some players. Individuals who find disturbing content distressing are advised to refrain from playing. Do not take this lightly.

i would've been perfectly fine as i am with most horror/"disturbing" content if i had known the subject matter beforehand, since i would've known what to expect and what i was getting myself into playing. real trigger warnings need to be actually normalized. that vague of a description can be very harmful to people suffering from traumas relating to sa.

and the fact that you're saying "0 sympathy" towards someone who is upset by content about sexual assault (again, that i had no clue thats what this game was about as the disclaimer did not mention it/wasn't edited when i downloaded) says a lot about you, not in a good way at all.

(-2)

32K and Coutning Thank You!

what's up blijah, have you played my new game?

Hi no I have not but we got new content on the channel good to see you and PLAY My EYES Decieve!

I tried to play this after hearing about it but I think there is a graphics glitch. everything was just too pixelated even after changing my pc settings. I am not sure if other people are having this issue or know how to fix it.

The pixelation heavily depends on the resolution of your monitor. What resolution is your monitor?

I changed my resolution settings to match the recommended resolution before i made the comment and it didnt change anything.

(-1)

THIS ACTUALLY SUPRISED ME

(+2)(-1)

Nouhidev after seeing fifty comments asking for a trigger warning on a psychological horror game:

(1 edit) (+3)(-2)

I mean i play all sorts of horror games and this is the first one to have caused me to have panic attack, like i loved the game all in all but I do feel there needs to be /somewhere/ (it doesnt need to be main screen or anything just somehwere) for a more specific warning. Because yeah I wouldve not played the game at this cuuren time. I dont think the creator meant harm at all btw, but theres a reason content warnings for movies say what the content its warning for is.

Does anyone else have the issue where everything apart from the DAY X screens and diary pages is incredibly pixelated? Is that the intention? Is there a setting where this can be changed?

(+1)

The pixelation is heavily based on your monitor's resolution. But I will fix that issue in the upcoming update!

(1 edit) (+5)(-11)

srsly please put a proper warning. As the user below me has stated, it's pretty fucked up to just avoid a proper warning for the sake of a twist.
EDIT: The dev has updated the warning to be more specific now, you guys can stop rubbing each other off now.(Would've been nice if the Dev replied or put a note so people wouldn't assume me and others can't read.)

(+5)(-5)

I am glad I was not the only one that realized this problem. It's fine to cover topics like this, but it needs a proper trigger warning besides the very vague one it has currently. Otherwise it isn't actually being helpful to victims, it's just putting yet another thing in their path they won't know to avoid until it triggers them.

(+7)(-2)

there is quite literally a disclaimer.

(+1)

The disclaimer was edited, my comment was made before the new, more specifically mentioned SA additions.

(+8)(-8)

First, as unbiased an opinion as I can give, this game is pretty good. You've nailed the atmosphere and it's very unsettling, and it keeps you wondering what's happening. However, I would not have engaged with this game if I had ANY idea it was about CSA (just randomly came across it). I'm a victim of CSA and always read TWs, and this game was heavily triggering and upsetting to me, and the only warning was 'disturbing content.' PLEASE consider putting a more specific warning, even if it is 'the content of this game contains some heavy triggers related to CSA, so if you are a survivor, this may not be a good game for you.' I have to say too, despite giving props to the game, if your biggest twist/spoiler is 'it was CSA/SA,' then you might want to reconsider how you've handled the subject matter. CSA/SA is not a good 'shocker twist' for a horror game, but it CAN be included in the story sensitively and well. Maybe a story where we get heavier inklings of what's happening, and have a clear ending where the victim escapes? A good ending for them (apologies if this is one of the endings, but I have no desire to find out for the sake of my MH).

That said, I also realize I don't know the dev, I have no idea what they may or may not have been through in life, but as someone with heavy traumas who is also a creator (I write books about some pretty dark stuff), survivors still have a responsibility to handle certain subjects carefully when putting them out there for the general public in stuff like games and art, even if that just means a heavy and informative content warning.

I hope the dev takes a lot of the constructive criticism here to heart, and they continue to make games.

At first i tried to find the ROBLOX one i couldent find it so i found this one and i had a great time with it i plan to go back for the second ending in the future

i know right?

I hope Markiplier's go at Your game gives You the boost that Your game rightfully deserves.

While the choice of topic is very sensitive, Your take on it is handled with due care. The sound design, visual effects and pacing also deserve a separate praise, I believe - they are thought provoking in their own right. Combined with a heavy hitter at the end - they certainly drive the point home.

Thank You for the experience.

(1 edit) (+1)

I had a problem with the screen ratio for some reason... Despite my screen being set to 16:9, the game opens as 4:3 and didn't had a configuration menu to adjust it.

Still, the game run normally and is playable, just a little pixelated because of the ratio.

(+2)

Very creepy and messed up. I can recommend

(-37)

you're gross for making a game like this. you honestly should be on a watchlist. there are people who are victims of shit like this and the fact that you just feel you have the authority to make a game about rape, presumably of a child, is repulsive. i don't know how people aren't seeing through this, you're fucking disgusting.

(+22)

i think it's to spread awareness, dude

also the person who made this could be a victim themself, you never know, so don't just assume

(+1)(-3)

it's definitely fine to spread awareness/use these topics to express feeling about the subject, etc. but this game also needs a proper warning about the content. some people do not want anything to do with consuming content with this subject matter if it triggers them or makes them uncomfortable. that's my problem with this game. not the actual subject matter, just the fact there are no real warnings on it before playing.

(+19)

Games are a form of artistic expression. I think your commentary is undeserved and misdirected.

As a survivor of non-contact csa and grooming I write things like this to cope and process what I went through. My personal complaint is that this should have a more specific trigger warning for the sake of people who will get triggered by media like this.

Play Doki Doki Literature Club and get back to us. If you thought this was heavy...

Sounds like you’ll be shocked that children can and have gotten raped irl

(+7)(-1)

Fucked up and really well made, thank you for this game!

(+9)(-1)

Saw Markiplier made a video about this and after hearing what he said in the begining I decided to play it before watching his video.

Very well done, I got a real sense of dread in the pit of my stomach at times. Only played through once but will be playing again to see the other ending.
